I am Thankful for

Day 2
On day to of my 30 days of thankfulness. I am thankful for my mom. She has guided me, taken care of me, and has helped make the strong independent woman I am today. I hope now that I am older I will carry on the characteristics she has instilled in me and pass it on to my future children.
To my mom you will always be the light at the end of my tunnel! I love you!

Day 1 I am thankful for

  DAY 1
So I just seen this great post on facebook from my friend about how for the whole month of November everyday to post something that you are thankful for. So I decieded instead of posting this on facebook I would blog every day of one thing that I am thankful for.
Today I am thankful for my wonderful fiance.

Jesse is my best friend, my support, and my rock in times of need. I have come to depend on him more than he even realize. He has changed my life in so many ways, I wouldn't be the person I am today if it weren't for him.

3 weeks down 12 more to go!

So I finished almost my first month of school. How do I feel about school now that I am this far in? Well to tell the truth I absolutly love it! The only thing I wish is that I could partake in more school activities such as clubs, studies, games, and just all campus life has to offer. It is alot of work but I expected as much. I am still working on my time management skills but I know that by the semester is over  I will finally have it down. Good thing for spring. This post isn't going to be very long because I don't have much time and need to finish my other projects before bed. But wanted to atleast right one post even though it is very small. However before I rap this pathetic post up I do want to make a list of things that I want to accomplish this semester.
  • Pass all my classes with a B or better
  • Go to atleast one ASU football game
  • Try and eat/drink at atleast five resturants/bars aroung campus
  • Partake in one ASU event that is not football
  • Make new friends
It's not a very long list but I am still super busy with work ( yes still on OT ) and of course WEDDING!! even though that has had to take a back seat for now.

409 DAYS!
until we meet again!

WEDDING NEWS!!

So I know that my last post was last published on May 9, 2012 as per my cover page when I entered into my blog but I have to admit that I have been pretty busy with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS!!! of over time at work, getting everything set and ready for school, keeping up the house and all that comes with it and of course doing some more searching for the BIG day!
Speaking of the BIG day I am proud to announce that Jesse and I have finally found our venue! We will be tying the knot at The Arizona Golf Resort on yes OCTOBER 26,2013.

When I went and took the official tour, not just web stalking on Facebook and Google I new that this is were I wanted to announce my commit to Jesse in front of all our family and friends. But not only is this place beautiful is also is amazing with all the perks and goodies it comes with let me just make you all just a little jealous.hehe..just kidding..
The Day of the wedding ( or day before whichever he decides ) Jesse and his gang of cohorts will get to play a round of 18 on the newly seeded golf course!
We also each get a grooms room and bridal sweet, I also get a room the night before the wedding; and a honeymoon sweet with strawberries and champagne for the end of a great night! So our guest don't have to drive very far we will be doing the ceremony and reception in the same place; also they will be applying discounts for any guest that will also be staying at the hotel for the wedding.

This is literally a picture of our actual reception hall.

Ceremony site don't mind these people couldn't find a picture without a wedding shot.lol.
And above all else I love all the great spots for unforgettable wedding pictures!!! Gotta have great pictures to make tons of scrapbook pages!
I just can't wait for the big day to get here, when I can finally marry my best friend and man of my dreams!!
431 Days!

Last Saturday Jesse and I met up with my High school mama and her husband the Dirty Germain to support them and their three the wiener dogs, Buddy,Ruby, and Lego in the wiener races. I have never seen so my wieners in one place in my whole life.

The races differentiated between age youngest to oldest. They were all so cute in their little races outfits!

Even though all our pups took last place we all definitely had a lot of fun! We will be ready to win next year for sure!!
Until we meet again!

Coyotes Hockey!!

This past Friday I took Jesse to his first ever NHL Hockey Game. Which is crazy because hockey is his favorite sport. But I guess in his home state of Oregon there is no professional hockey team so it makes sense for him to have not seen a game.Well to start off awhile back I promised Jesse that if the Coyotes make it to round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs we would go to a game. Well the team did in fact advance thus how we ended up at the game on Friday night. Jesse was so excited it was like a little kid on Christmas morning.
We had seats that were kind of high in the stadium but the nice thing about the Glendale Arena is there is not really a bad seat in the house. You can even read the players' number on their jersey.
Even though I have never really been a huge fan of really any professional sport. I have come to enjoy hockey. All the fights, body slams, and puck shots can really be quite entertaining. Jesse likes to call me his hockey buddy now. I guess we can make another note on our list of things we have in common. Next up will be another live game with the DBacks. Although if Jesse has his way we will be seeing alot more of the Coyotes!

Until we meet again!

One year Six months and counting!

So as I was talking to my friend Alicia about her wedding ( exactly one year before mine!) coming up and I realized that it is now only one year and six months until my wedding!! It's still quite a ways away but I figured its not to early to start looking at venue ideas. I would really like to have the ceremony in one location and our reception in another. I never realized how much work it would be to find someplace that would do only the ceremony and not do the reception. Even though we have hit a little bump I still found plenty of amazing placing venue sites that have caught Jesse and my attention. So far we have a top three at this point in the game.

I have always loved stonebridge. I find this place gorgeous with beautiful ground and wonderful decorations. It would be great for amazing wedding pictures!

Arizona golf resort has a beautiful ceremony site with the beautiful Arizona mountains behind them. I can't wait to take a real tour rather than a virtual one

Dobson Ranch is a great location for a reception. I am personally aware of this because my sister (matron of honor) had her reception. The prices are great and the staff is very friendly.

Be expecting as the date gets closer to hear more and more wedding news! It will only get worse!

Until we meet again!

I work out!!

So now that there are no Holidays for awhile I'm going to get back on the ball with my "loosing weight" resolution that I made for New Years. I was so proud of myself when I first started I dropped about 10-15 pounds. But sense I fell off for about a month or soo.... to keep up on my daily down low.hehe. I have begun my new work regimes. First off there is no way to really loose weight unless you start eating right so I am making it a point to substitute one unhealthy thing for one good thing. Such as I traded soda for power aid or juice. and I trade unhealthy carbs for healthy carbs. I have also given up on some of my favorite snacks such as doughnuts, Nutella, and anything that is normally not good for proper weight loss. I've also taken up in my local farmers market for all my fruits and vegetables that way I'm  eating healthy and helping a local business.
Well you can't have healthy eating with out exercise just as you can't have your peanut butter with out the jelly. I'm not one to join the gym, I always feel awkward and out of place so I rather work out in the comfort and privacy of my home. I do many different things, I use my kinect playing many different games..

This game is absolutely great for anyone who loves to dance, it's a great work out while still making it fun and enjoyable. Definitely get a sweat after 9 or 10 songs in a row.
UFC Trainer is great for a steady basic workout. Gives the same layouts as you would learn in a gym. Even has virtual boxing bags.
This game is not really a work out at all but I just wanted to reshow that I got this for Easter:)
Now sticking to my regimen is going to be the hard part but all I have to think of is the wedding to keep me motivated. I can't wait to look in the mirror or try on a pair of pants that I put on to show me that I met my goal.

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Last Sunday was Easter it's seems this year is flying by! Many people have different traditions when it comes to Easter or all holidays for that matter. So I thought I would share what my family does for Easter.
We always start with dying Easter eggs. this year we got to dye them twice once at my sisters and then again at my mom's it was pretty much double the fun! Even Jesse and I got involved

Afterwards while all of our eggs are drying we look for our easter baskets. I have the most amazing parents and even though we are all adults they still get and hide our easter baskets. This year we all got kinect games I have to say mine was the best ( Michael Jackson )!!

And of course right before our big easter dinner, we hide all the eggs we colored that morning and go searching for them.

It was a great way to spend a sunday. I can't wait to spend our next holiday together again!

until we meet again

ASU!!!!>:)

Last week I took the next step into getting back into my school "career" as I like to call it. By attending the new transfer students orientation at ASU. I had Michelle go with me because it was her alma mater and I knew she would enjoy going back in time to revisit her school years...bahahaha.... truthfully it's because I had no idea what to do and knew she could navigate around campus!
We walked the campus and I got to meet with my psychology advisor to pick my classes! I will be going full time starting August 14th. But for know I'm going to take some summer courses to get back in to the flow of things. After talking to my advisor we determined that I will graduate in 2015 with my BA in Psychology with a minor in family and marriage counseling.

So here is to the future! I can't believe I'm saying this but I am looking forward to the challenges of going back to school. I plan to do a lot of stuff with this university so except many more blogs to come!!

Up until now!

Ok so my best friend started blogging again and she got the creative juices flowing (sorta ) in me as well so let me give the round down of our life up until know

January:
We didn't do much in the month of January mostly just found some very important and scary news for our little family. Ash our wild and rambunctious puppy has a genetic disorder in his left leg that causes his knee cap to continuously pop out of its spot causing the bone to start to chip away. This is not a life threatening disorder however if left unattended it will become very painful and his spunk and stamina will go away. We have had a lot of opinions from many of our friends and family and though we most graciously appreciate the input we have decided that we would rather spend the money than to not have this special little pup in our lives.
Besides who could not love this face!!

February:
Now February was tons of fun mostly because it was Valentines Day which happens to be yours truly favorite holiday, all that pink, and hearts, and love, and chocolate my list can go on and on. I could bore everyone with all the details but let me get to the best part Jesse's and my valentines day date. We went to the Wild Life world Zoo and Aquarium ( do not get this confused with the Phoenix world zoo like we did )

We made a whole day of this we even ended it with a picnic while we watched the monkeys play in their play place.

And in the end I even built up the courage to ride the very high sky lift over all the different animals in the park!
At this point I was starting to freak out a little
Took a picture of our feet 1.) to show the height 2.) because it's just such a cute picture!

I thought at least if this thing breaks and we fall we will land in water:)

It was one of the best days this year mostly because due to our conflicting schedules with work we don't get to spend a whole lot of time together.
MARCH:
I know I know this is getting very long and I promise to end this blog at March. We are so lucky to get to start this month off with a very special birthday my baby nephew Joel turned four this year. and I feel so grateful to have this wonderful little person in my life. I must say for a four year old birthday that place was happening. Now I do have a TON of pictures all of which are on my phone (Epic fail ) I know. I haven't quite figured how to put them on my computer yet. So for now you will have to take my word. But everyone got involved and we had a great time even his Tia Sandra and I took an hour and a half to but together a Lego firetruck. Like I said we are party ANIMALS!!!
Now because we had such a good being of the month we had to have a great end of the month as well. Which of course we did. The last week my aunt Marybeth and Uncle Scott came down from Utah to spend a couple days with us we ate, we drank, we played Kinect, and even went on a boat ride at Tempe town lake. I also have a ton of pictures but I lost my camera...I know it seems like a lot of excuses but I promise it's not.
All in all it has been a pretty good start to our adventurous year with way more things to come. All of which we are looking forward too. I hope I can have it in me to keep up with my blog because I always seem to loose focus when things get busy but I will do my best!!
Until we meet again!
